Rem4 x 3.14 ember the Circle Equations

C = 2 pi r

A = pi r^(2)

If 'r' (radius) = 2 units then

C = 2 pi x 2 = 4 x pi = 4 x 3.14 = 12.56 units.

A = pi 2^(2) = 3.14 x 4 = 12.56 units^(2)

NB pi = 3.141592.... It is an irrational constant. However, when learning circle equations you are usually given pi = 3.14 , or 3.1416 or 22/7, These are only approximations given for ease of learning.

Given a sphere with radius r what does the formula represent?

Do you mean volume or surface area? volume = 4/3 x pi x r^3 (four divided by three, multiplied by pi, multiplied by radius cubed). surface area = 4 x pi x r^2 (four multiplied by pi, multiplied by radius squared).

Is a number multiplied by pi irrational?

Maybe. It depends on the number that you are multiplying. Pi multiplied by (1 / 4pi) = 1/4. A quarter is definitely rational.

Given a circle with the diameter of 4 what is the circumference?

If you use pi as 3.14, the answer is 12.56. If you use the pi button on your calculator, it is still simplified to 12.56, but if you want the full number, it is 12.56637061. The algebra is pi multiplied by diameter OR pi multiplied by radius squared Pi is often just used as 3.14

HOW TO find the volume of a circle?

The area of a circle is 'pi' multiplied by the square of the circle's radius.The volume of a circle is zero.The volume of a sphere is (4/3 pi) multiplied by the cube of the sphere's radius.

Why is pi used to find the circumference of a a circle?

Because the circumference is equal to the diameter multiplied by pi or the radius multiplied by 2*pi.
