We need at least two numbers on the PCM to match and replace it.
PCM (Pulse Code Modulation)
replaced ignition coil pack, PCM and spark plugs. No signal comes from the computer to fire plugs 2 and 3, but 1 and 4 are firing nicely. The van WILL NOT start, but -- at times -- it tries. Please help. There is possibility that I bought a faulty PCM with the same problem that I had from the original, but I dunno.
yes it has xi n xii..pcm, pcb n commerce..!
Let (M) and (D) be the peak amplitudes of signals m(t) and d(t) respectively. If the same quantization level (L), is used to sample both signals. The quantization step (Dv) in DPCM is reduced by a factor of (D/M). The quantization noise power is [(Dv)^2]/2. So we can say, that in DPCM the quatization noise reduces by the factor (M/D)^2. As the SNR is inversely proportional to Noise, this parameter (SNR) increases by the same factor. In Practice the SNR improvement may be as high as 25 dB in such cases as short-term voiced speech spectra. Alternatively for the same SNR, the bit rate for DPCM could be lower than for PCM by 3 to 4 bits per sample. Thus, telephone systems using DPCM can often operate at 32 kbits/s (4 bits * 8000 saples/s) or even 24 kbit/s (3 bits * 8000 saples/s). So DPCM could improve the SNR of the system, using less bandwidth.
exponential with bandwidth
in pcm system if the quantization levels are increased from 2 to 8, the relative bandwidth requirement will ?
P0113-INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR HIGH When Monitored: With the ignition on. Battery voltage greater than 10 volts. Set Condition: The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor voltage at the PCM is greater than 4.98 volts.

If you have continuity from the DLC back to the PCM on all the pins that it should, and the PCM has power and ground everywhere it is supposed to, you probably need a PCM. Before I throw a PCM at it though, I would make extra sure that you have checked all of the stuff that I spoke of first. Remeber the PCM will have more than one power and more than one ground input.
Quantization noise is a model of quantization error introduced by quantization in the analog-to-digital conversion(ADC) in telecommunication systems and signal processing.
I wrote a short white paper on this a few years ago. You can read it at: http://doctord.webhop.net/tutorials/Shannon_Channel_Capacity.htm Jeffrey N. Denenberg Electrical Engineering Professor
P1401 - DPF EGR Sensor Circuit High Voltage Detected The EGR monitor checks the DPFE sensor signal to the PCM for high voltage. The test fails when the average voltage to the PCM goes to a voltage greater than the maximum calibrated value. Possible causes: DPFE circuit open VREF short to PWR Damaged DPFE sensor DPFE circuit short to PWR SIGNAL RTN circuit open Damaged PCM Look at scan data stream for a reading greater than 4.5 volts with the key ON and engine OFF or running. This indicates a hard fault.

The pcm has an internal failure. You need to replace the pcm.
The PCM will not affect the transmission in your car. The PCM is not related to the transmission in any way.
