β 13y agoSo we have x^2 + 3*x = 180 --> x^2 + 3*x - 180 = 0. This can factor into (x-12)(x+15)=0, So x = -15 or x = 12 satisfies it: -15 is the answer. I factored by looking for factors which sum to +3 and multiply to -180
