he ate two slices.
5/12 of the pizza remains.
One slice
Assume there were twelve slices. 1/4 is 3 slices, 1/3 is 4 slices. That would leave 5 slices.
You can't eat 1.2 of it. That would be eating more of it than there is. If you ate 1/2 of it, there would be 1/8 of the original pie left.
he ate two slices.
One sixth or 1/6...assuming the pizza was cut into 6 slices. If not, then the fraction left would be: (total # of slices cut - 5)/total # of slices cut
It is less because if you have a whole pizza and you divide it by four, if you eat one piece of it,you have three pieces left. So, you have less than a whole.
If you mean each ate 12 pieces, the pieces may have been of different sizes.
I ate 267 pieces of pizza.
Susan Gave 1/4 to her Brother and had 3/4 left then she gave 1/3 or 1 of the 3 quarters that was left to her mother. She then ate the 2/4 or 1/2 of the pizza
5/12 of the pizza remains.
1/3 pizza left.
1/3
obviously assuming they are equal slices... 12-8=4, 4/12=1/3 1/3 = 33.3%
