Please do not even attempt to lose that much weight in such a short period of time. I will just go back on as soon as you stop dieting and you will be worse off. The only way to lose that much weight is to starve yourself, which is completely the wrong thing to do. Try to aim to lose between 1-2lbs per week. That way your body has a chance to adapt to your new diet and will not enter starvation mode. Hope this helps.
i dont know what diets you've tried before if any, but i'd recommend you try a ZERO carb (ABSOLUTELY NO bread, sugar, rice, potatoes, etc), high protien(chicken breast, turkey breast, salmon, etc) diet WITHOUT CHEATING for about a month accompanied by at least an hour of cardio done first thing in the morning on an empty stomach at least 6 days a week. You should consume 6 small meals throughout the day about every 2 hours. Make sure yourr taking a good multi vittamin daily and drinking tons of water daily( the more water you drink, the less your body retains. Therefore getting rid of any water weight). Follow this and stick to it and you should melt the pounds away in no time.
You cannot lose 40 pounds in one week. It would require something like surgical intervention to cut away strips of fat, which would put you at risk. It cannot be done by natural means.
The most fat loss anyone can lose naturally in a week is up to 2 pounds per week. Anything more than that and it is very likely water and muscles. The American College of Sports Medicine has similar guidelines.
Not good idea. Too much, too fast. 20 pounds in a month is possible, but 10 pounds a month is a much more reasonable goal. And even that much will make a difference!
you can't. that would be losing more than a pound a day. To lose 40 pounds the healthy way it could take around 4-6 months.
Exercise 3-4 hours a day and eat less then 900 calories each day
Depends on your will....
Plenty of moderate aerobic exercise, no sweetened liquids at all, and no junk food at all. Preferably no sugar, and as little added salt and processed foods as possible. Eat 3 small-portioned meals/day; do not skip breakfast; and avoid sweet snacks. Limit your calories (better to consult a doctor or nutritionist concerning the amount), and weigh yourself 2-3 times/week. Ignore the sensation of hunger. If you see your weight diminishing at a safe, reasonable rate (1-2 pounds/week), keep it up.
Once you've reached your target weight, increase your calorie intake somewhat. And you can then have small amounts of sweetened foods or junk food on occasion (if at all), along with your regular foods (not instead of them). But keep checking your weight 2-3 times/week.
Avoid crash diets, diet pills etc. Avoid fatty cuts of meat. Walk as much as possible. Bicycling and swimming are good too.
More guidelines:
Don't concentrate on specific foods so much as on a balanced, healthy diet plus exercise. Plenty of moderate exercise rather than intense exercise, which can damage your joints.
Good nutrition means eating what your body needs, while ingesting as few harmful things as possible. It has also been described as getting enough of each of the major food categories (grains, fruits, vegetables, protein, dairy, etc.; plus plenty of water).
This will vary somewhat from one person to another; and I don't believe that there's any universal diet that can be prescribed for everyone. Avoid best-sellers with their perennial fad diets. And think twice before using any dietary supplements or weight-loss pills.
In general, one's starting point can be a menu of whole grains, whole-wheat bread, a good amount of vegetables, some fruits and nuts, fish, lean meats (in not-large amounts), and some dairy. However, this must be tweaked according to one's health, weight and other factors at the outset; and also adjusted over time, as one sees what works for him/her in particular.
Also...whenever you feel queasy, nauseous, constipated or otherwise not completely well, try to remember what you've eaten over the last several hours or the last day. This is one method of adjusting one's food habits.
You cannot lose 40 pounds of body fat in one week by any natural means. .
Sorry- there is no way to lose 40 pounds in one week that would not kill you. A weight loss diet will typically reduce weight by about 2 pounds a week. Even if you ate NOTHING for a week you would not lose 40 pounds.
if you lost 4 pounds each week and you wanted to lose 40 than you would have to do that for 10 weeks.
Sell your border collie. Losing 3 pounds a week, with exercise, is the most that you can safely lose in a week.
You cannot lose 40 pounds in one day by any natural means.
There is nothing short of surgery that can reduce even the most obese person by that much in such a short time.
it will take around 20 weeks at 2 pound a week which is the remented amount to lose a week , however at the start of a diet you will must likely lose 5 pound which will be most water weight so around 18.5 weeks to lose 40 pounds
Have a leg off.
It is not advisable to lose 40 pounds in only 17 days. You can lose weight fairly quickly by exercising at least 30 minutes per day and eating healthy foods.

Surgery or serious illness.
don't stop moving. Honestly, you shouldn't need to lose 40 pounds, but dance, sing, run, walk, play MOVE basically.
