The 1st Special Service Forces were a mixture of American and Canadian commandos who wore a RED arrowhead with USA and CANADA inscribed on it. I thought you might refer to the US Engineers. But their collar brass was a Castle. Germany had an organization that worked on defenses but they were not a special forces fighting unit.
