All composite numbers can be expressed as unique products of prime numbers. This is accomplished by dividing the original number and its factors by prime numbers until all the factors are prime. A factor tree can help you visualize this.
Example: 210
210 Divide by two.
105,2 Divide by three.
35,3,2 Divide by five.
7,5,3,2 Stop. All the factors are prime.
2 x 3 x 5 x 7 = 210
That's the prime factorization of 210.
Prime factors are factors that are also prime numbers.
abcabc=abc x 1001 1001 = 7 x 11 x 13 So such number as at least 4 prime factors: if abc is prime, then 4 factors only if abc is not prime then at least 4 factors
first you figure out what times what=44. 22x2 does. 2 is already a prime number so that is part of the end answer. THen you must figure out what times what=22 because it is NOT a prime number. 11x2 does. Now you have all prime numbers so the answer is 11x2x2
The prime factors are: 2,2699
The prime factors of 904 are: 2, 113
factors: 1, 1291 (prime)prime factors: 1291 (go figure!)
But you do know the factors of prime numbers. Every prime number has two factors: one and the number itself.
126 63,2 21,3,2 7,3,3,2
Work out if they have any factors, other than the number 1 and themselves. If they do not they are prime.
You could figure out a prime number by the help of its factors. If it has only 2 factors which are 1 and number itself, then it is prime.
lcm of 46 and 69 = 139 an easy way to figure this out is by multiplying together the following: prime factors they have in common * prime factors that just 46 has * prime factors just 69 has.
Factor it. If it has more than two factors (it has) it is composite.
Prime factors of 51 are 3 and 17 Prime factors of 34 are 2 and 17 Least common multiple is 2*3*17 = 102
Prime factors are factors that are also prime numbers.
As a product of its prime factors in exponents: 218 = 262144
2 x 7 x 11 = 154
Let ask you this.....what factors make up the number 19 when you multiply? Is there any? Now figure out what your answer is.
