I did it by listing all of the factors of all the numbers from 1 to 100.
60, 72, 84, 90 and 96 each have twelve factors.
360, 420 and 480 each have 24 factors.
60, 72 and 84 are tied with twelve.
1 is the number less than fifty with the fewest number of factors. All other numbers have at least two factors (1, and the integer itself).
Your question isn't clear. If you want to know which number less than 25 has the most factors, the answer is 24.
There is no such number. You can always find a number that has yet more factors. For example, 4 has three factors (1, 2, 4), 8 has four factors (1, 2, 4, 8), 16 has five factors (1, 2, 4, 8, 16), etc. - and you can continue obtaining higher and higher powers of two, thus obtaining numbers with more factors than the previous one.
48 has 10 factors, the most factors of any number under 50.
the number 90 has the most factors under 100
48 has ten factors.
180 has 18 factors.
The most factors any odd number less than 100 has is 6. There are 4 numbers which have 6 factors:45, 63, 75 & 99.
"12" has 6 factors.
12 and 18 each have six factors.
840
30
I guess it would be 45,63,75,99 they each have 6 factors
360, 420 and 480 each have 24 factors.
Oh, dude, that's an easy one. The number with the most factors less than 144 is 120. It has a total of 16 factors, beating out all the other numbers below 144. So, yeah, 120 is the champ in the factor game.
