How do you make 24 out of the numbers 24 and 24 and 5 and 10?

I can see two ways to do that:

Way #1:
5/10 times (24 + 24) makes 24.

Way #2:
-- Take the first 24 and set it aside.
-- Throw away the second 24, the 5, and the 10.
-- Now you have 24.
