Ah nepotism, it's always around but so often denied. It's my personal opinon that as long as you excell at your position without tapping into that friend/family aspect of it, it's not a horrible thing. It's the ones that don't do their job, and others are always taking the fall because of it, that I think most people can't stand.

I think there is a misunderstanding of the meaning of Nepotism. Nepotism is the practice of a relative preferring a relative for a position or benefit over a better qualified person. In some ways this is illegal in all of the USA, hiring for example. In some ways it is not.
