Singapore is an expensive city for upper middle class life style. Salaries vary based on industry and typ of package. Ofcourse banks pay higher + bonus

Service sector salaries are based on local or expat packages. local package salaries rane from S$100-$140K for a 8-12 years experience

about 60K for graduates with engineering degree

For expats it could go to S$130-$200K (including living expense) for a 8-12 years experience. Some may even get car allowance

If you coming from outside of singapore best is to ask for a gloabal package for atleast 1 year. Depending upon life style some items could be very costly in Singapore ( more than Europe/US)

Get to know what kind of housing you need based on u r single or married. A 2 bed room (1000 sq ft) apt can easily go to S$3500+ and S$7000 in middle of city

Car is a huge luxury. A entry level Sedan ( Honda Civic) can cost you S$140K

Most peoplr commute by trains and taxis. You coule spend S$750 monthly on commute if you use taxis a lot.

Trains are cheaper about S$2 for most places

Food is cheaper if you get use to local foods. Restaurants can be S$25+ for a single dinner. Every Beer is S$5 extra

The place is between Western world and asian culture. You will see people gelling with each other but to a limit.

If you come from Europe/US surburbs and a accostaimed to live in large apts or single family houses, make sure you take a aprtment hunting trip before deciding to work here.

housing style is different and expensive unless ur company supports
