To construct the LCM of a series of numbers we must include any factors which are particular to each of them and one of any factors which are common to all of them.

The prime factors of 8 are 2, 2, and 2

... so the LCM will have at least three 2s = 2, 2, 2

The prime factors of 10 are 2 and 5

... so now we need to add a 5 to that list = 2, 2, 2 and 5

The prime factors of 12 are 2, 2 and 4

... so now we need to add a 3 to that list = 2, 2, 2, 3 and 5

The prime factors of 75 are 3, 5 and 5

... so not we need to add another 5 to that list = 2, 2, 2, 3, 5 and 5

2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 5 x 5 = 600
