If you work it out it is pretty easy. The first few multiples of 100 and 1000 are: 100: 100, 200, 300, 400, 500... 1000: 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000... The first few do not occur in both so they are irrelevant. The first to match is 1000 that is the lowest to match so the lowest common multiple of them both is 1000.
