In my 9 years in Juvenile Probation (Utah) I've always seen more boys than girls in detention. The ratio has varied from 2 to 1 to 10 to 1, with an average of about 4 to 1. Boys tend to commit more offences worthy of detention than girls do.

2 boys for every 3 girls 8 boys / 2 boys = 4 times the original ratio 4 times original ratio x 3 girls = 12 girls
There are 280 girls and 350 boys by ratio
The ratio is 9:12 (girls:boys)Simplified the ratio is 3:4 When there are 24 girls, there will be 32 boys. (3:4 = 24:32)
Oh, dude, the ratio of boys to girls is like 3:1. You just divide the number of boys by the number of girls, so 12 divided by 4 equals 3. So, for every girl, there are 3 boys hanging out in the group. It's like a boy band with a few backup dancers.
The ratio of 8 boys to 12 girls can be simplified by finding the greatest common divisor, which in this case is 4. Dividing both numbers by 4 gives us a ratio of 2 boys to 3 girls. This means for every 2 boys, there are 3 girls in the group.
The ratio is: 3 to 4
In lowest terms, it is 4 to 3.
190 girls
Let me use money as an example. You are familiar with US dollars and quarters? I hope so. There are 4 quarters in a dollar. The ratio of quarters to dollars is 4 to 1, written as 4:1 or 4/1. Another example: in a classroom there are 13 girls and 12 boys. The ratio of girls to boys is 13 to 12 or 13/12 or 1.083 girls for every boy. The ratio of boys to girls is 12/13 or 0.923 boys for every girl. A ratio establishes a relationship between the relative quantities of two or more variables.
3/4 times 48 = 36 girls
The ratio is 4:5
3:4
