The denomination was started by William Irvine in the late 1800's. Though many claim it's lineage goes back to the time of the disciples, it is really a Victorian era denomination whos preaching staff attempts to follow the example of lay ministers traveling in twos.
This loose knit group meet in homes on Sunday morning, take no collections, feeds and houses the preachers who go for life without compensation, use no tracts or literature nor any other media means of furthering the Gospel and are represented in every country in the world. It is not secret and is not organized and is not a cult (following a man made creed).
