Chile is a long, narrow country on the western coast of South America.

From north to south, Chile extends 4,270 km (2,653 mi), and averages 177 km (110 mi) east to west. It is shaped like a long ribbon, reaching from the middle of South America's west coast straight down to the southern tip of the continent, where it curves slightly eastward.

Depends on how you would define "most narrow". Chile has an average width of 175 kms, and it's 64 kms wide at it's narrowest point. So for a country it's size, it's pretty narrow.

The smallest country in the world, The Vatican City State, is considerably smaller though, and much narrower in any way you'd measure it. It is about 1.05 kms long and 0.85 kms wide.
