Although it is strictly speculation, it was a United States Court that tried, convicted and ultimately imprisioned Andrew Luster, who is the great-grandson of Max Factor. It was shortly after Luster was imprisioned, when Max Factor stopped selling their products in the US. Many would argue the point, but it sure makes me wonder because I firmly believe that "blood" is thicker than water. Incidently, the people in the US can still buy the product, but it costs more and is a pain to obtain. You be the Judge.
