Can you plug a 110 volt into 30 amp RV?

Only if it's a 220v system.

Can you plug in a 125 volt 30 amp plug in a 120 volt 30 amp outlet?

If the plug fits you are good to go. The typical range of residential voltage is from 110 to 125 VAC. You are fine within this range.

Can you use a 110 v power ampplifier on 240 v?

No, and yes. I say no because to do that you would have to change parts within the amplifier itself, which could be done but would be more trouble than it is worth. I say yes because you can buy an adapter that you plug into the wall outlet that will change the voltage of 220v to 110v. You are technically not changing the voltage the amplifier can handle but changing the voltage coming to the amp. If you are using an amp that is designed to be used in US 110v and are in Europe using 220V you can find the adapters just about anywhere, I've never looked but I would think Wal Mart would sell them. If you are trying to plug into a US 240V outlet it would be better off just installing a new 110v then to modify you amp. So I guess it depends on your situation. Hope this helps.

Are all 20 amp outlets 240 volts?

Is there a adapter for a nema 14-30 plug and a nema 14-50 receptacle?

No there are no adapters made for these types of installations. The reason there are no adapters is to provide a factor of safety. To plug a 30 amp plug into a 50 amp receptacle could allow 50 amps to be applied to a 30 amp rated cord. The 50 amp receptacle is more than likely being fed by a 40 amp breaker. Just change the plug cord to match the ampacity of the breaker ahead of the 50 amp receptacle. Or change the 50 amp receptacle and 40 amp breaker to a 30 amp breaker and use your existing cord plug.

I have a tanning canopy that has a 20 amp male plug with the one blade at a 90 degree angle can I cut the plug and put on a standard three prong plug?

Can you change the plug? Yes. Should you change the plug? NO!!! The 20 Amp plug is just that a 20 amp plug. The plug you want to change to is a 15 amp plug. The ramifications are pretty easy to understand. The 20 amp load will overload the receptacle for sure, and likely will overload the branch wiring and circuit breaker if they were designed for 15 amps. This could cause at the least your home wiring to get brittle and eventually short out. It could also cause a circuit failure, leading up all the way up to a fire. My recommendation is to move the canopy to a 20 Amp plug or have a licensed electrician install the proper breaker, wiring and receptacle. See view discussion below.

Does 220 amp service use more power than 110 amp?

No, they only use the power drawn from the service. The fact that is is 220 amp or 110 amp makes no difference. It is the load that is applied that determines the amount used.
