If the ordering of the 10 songs counts (e.g., a,b,c is counted as a different combination from b,c,a) then the number is

1471 * 1470 * ... * 1462 = 4.6005774 * 10^31

If the ordering of each set of 10 songs is not counted, then the number of combinations is the above number divided by 10!, which is 1.267796 * 10^25.

In general, the number of different ways to choose n things out of N objects where order does not matter is: N! / [n! * (N-n)!)]. If n were larger, such as choosing 500 songs out of 1471, you would have to use Sterling's approximation.

How do you transpose keys on a Casio Privia PX 5s?

In the "normal mode" (i.e., with a bank and sound selected), do the following: 1. Press edit (button immediately to the right of button #9) 2. Press these numbers: 996696* 3. Use the +/- keys to transpose {This sequence of keys takes you through multiple menus. Specifically: Edit First 9 selects "Stage Settings" Second 9 selects "Zone Edit" 669 drops to and selects "Midi Edit" 6 drops to "Transpose" Hope this helps. I love my PX5S but wish transposing required fewer clicks. I suspect more experienced users can program it so that a slider or knob might be used for transposition.

How do you change the channel on a walkie talkie?

-- If the walkie talkie is designed to operate on more than one channel, then there's a switch on it that selects the channel. -- If it's not designed to operate on more than one channel, then you have to get inside, change some crystals, and maybe optimize some resonant circuits. Of course, after you've done that, it's illegal to use it.

What does Calib stand for on your tuner?

The 'Calib' button on your chromatic tuner is used to calibrate the tuner. Standard tuning has 440 hertz frequency difference between half-steps on the musical scale. Some tuners will allow you to re-tune this to 441 or a few hertz off. The calibrate button selects the frequency. Make sure you get it set to the right frequency (stick with 440 hertz), or you'll create audible harmonic interference when playing with others.
