No.

A "radio alarm clock" is a radio ... which you can use to lull yourself to sleep ... that has a
built-in alarm, which you can set to wake you in the morning, either by turning the radio
back on, or by blasting you awake with an annoying buzz that will ruin your whole day.

A so-called "radio controlled" alarm clock ... sometimes advertised as an "atomic" clock ... is
a clock that actually has a radio receiver built into it, which receives the NIST standard time
signals from Fort Collins, Colorado, and automatically keeps itself set to precisely exactly
the correct time.

What's the difference between a clock radio and an alarm clock?

A clock radio and an alarm clock are two very similar things which provide some of the same functions however they differ in their features. An alarm clock is a basic clock which has an alarm function and a clock radio combines the use of an AM/FM radio and an alarm clock.

Is remote control the same as radio control?

Not usually, remote control may be via wires, hydraulic, radio waves or smoke signals, Radio control refers specificaly to items controlled by radio.

Why does your radio on your kia sportage 1997 shut off after about ten minutes and displays hold on the radio screen?

anytime the radio loses power the code given to you at time of purchase will need to be entered to restore the radio. Or it could also be the alarm system. I had the same problem. I had to buy a new radio (CD player) worked perfect afterwards.

How does radio impact us today?

the radio is used with an alarm clock to wake people up while playing music at the same time. ++++ Yes, that is one use, but the main use of broadcast radio is for entertainment and information. Radio is also used for private communications such as between ships or aircraft, and of course your "mobile" (actually portable) telephone is a radio transmitter / receiver.

If the radio-clock display in a 92 spirit doesn't light up anymore do you have to replace the entire radio?

i have a 95 Spirit and have the same problem. It is getting power to the radio (back lit, and tape player will rewind, but the clock display doesnt work, and the radio doesnt work (which sucks). Sometimes it will turn on when I start my car, but once the car is running, there is 0% chance of the radio coming on, even if I start banging around the radio. THis leads me to believe that is not a loose wire, but something in the ignition? Any input would be appreciated! I to had the same prob with the radio in a 90 Caravan which also carrys the same radio setup as the Dodge Spirit... its a short in the radio that aventually developes... theres nothing wrong with wiring... i took the radio setup out of my 92 Spirit (cause trans went out) and put it into the Caravan and still works fine, so its not a wiring prob... just a prob with the radio itself.
