I own an 1899 Zimmerman autoharp. Unfortunately these wonderful instruments have not been recognized for their true worth. They are "the original autoharps" and should be worth much more than they are. If they were Guitars of similar quality and historical value (ie. a Martin New Yorker) they would be worth many thousands of dollars. Mine, which is in very fine condition is worth $80-$100 dollars. Be assured, however, one day they will be discovered and there value will shoot through the roof. Right now be pleased by the fact that you own a very important piece of American musical history...
