No, it is not safe to run a conduit from a spliced 240V oven jack. The spliced connection may not be rated to handle the load of the conduit wires, leading to overheating and potential fire hazards. It is recommended to directly connect the oven to a dedicated electrical circuit following local electrical codes.

Can you plug a 240V oven range into a European outlet?

No, it is not safe to plug a 240V oven range designed for North America into a European outlet, which typically provides 220V. The voltage difference can damage the appliance and pose safety hazards. An appropriate voltage transformer or a new oven range compatible with the European outlet should be used instead.

How do you calculate amp of circuit breaker to use on a 4800w oven?

For a 4800W oven, you can calculate the amperage by dividing the wattage by the voltage. Assuming a standard voltage of 240V for residential ovens, the amperage would then be 4800W / 240V = 20A. Therefore, you would need a 20A circuit breaker for the oven.

How do you finish wiring a 240v 50amp 8 3 wire that your electrician left stubbed without a junction box for a double oven?

If your electrician left the wiring stubbed without a junction box, you should first install a junction box at the location where the wire ends. Connect the 8/3 wire to the junction box following proper electrical codes and regulations for 240V 50A circuits. Ensure all connections are secure and the wiring is properly insulated before connecting it to your double oven. If you're unsure about the process, it's recommended to consult a qualified electrician for assistance.

How do you add 240v service for electric oven to replace a gas oven?

An electric oven must be on a dedicated circuit. Unless you already have a 220 Volt circuit available, you will have to run a wire from the fuse panel to the stove. Call a licensed electrician.

Are additional parts needed to install this?

How can you get 240V single phase power from a 240V 3 phase service Can you just connect to two poles of the 240V 3 phase service?

I'm sure this isn't what you want to hear, but you probably need to ask an electrician familiar with your service and what you want to connect. As a general answer, you can connect a 240v line to line resistive load like an electric water heater to any 240v source. If you also need the 240v to have 120v line to neutral, like a 240v electric stove that contains a 120v clock and oven light, then its possible if the 3 phase power is connected in a "high delta" configuration, and you connect to the correct leads. If you have a high delta service and want to ignore the 3-phase power service and wire most or all of the loads in the building as a single phase load, the utility may have to be consulted.

Does an electric stove burner use 220 or 110?

The burners will most likely be 240V. By keeping the range at 240 volts it will use less amps that at 120V. Say a range and oven is rated at 9000 watts. Watts = amps x volts. 9000/240V = 37.5 amps. 9000/120V = 75 amps. As you can see at 120 volts the amperage is double over 240 volts. You would need a 100 amp breaker and #4 wire to accomodate the range on 120 volts.
