i don't really know if by evolutionary mean or mutations cause by radiation or etc. Through radiation (infrared, gamma, x-rays, etc.) particles attack the genetics rendering it use, make up, process, or what it was programmed to do producing weird, not-needed protein, cancers, and tumor. In evolutionary means however, mutation occur due to changes in environment, long time adaptation causes them to evolve to better suit the environment without the need to adapt every generation, every generation just evolve through natural selection

Chromosomal mutations are especially common in organisms with a larger number of chromosomes, such as plants and animals. Additionally, factors like exposure to radiation, chemicals, or errors in cell division can increase the likelihood of chromosomal mutations occurring.
Two are insertion mutations and deletion mutations.
Chromosomal mutations involve changes in the structure or number of chromosomes in an organism's cells. This can result in genetic disorders, such as Down syndrome, or impact an individual's physical and cognitive development. Chromosomal mutations can occur spontaneously or be influenced by environmental factors.
Examples of mutations include point mutations (substitution, insertion, deletion), chromosomal mutations (duplication, deletion, inversion, translocation), and silent mutations. These mutations can lead to various consequences such as changes in protein structure and function, genetic disorders, and cancer.
There are many thousands of different mutations.
Rett syndrome is not primarily caused by a chromosomal abnormality, but rather a genetic mutation in the MECP2 gene located on the X chromosome. This gene provides instructions for making a protein that is important for brain development. Mutations in the MECP2 gene disrupt the production of this protein, leading to the characteristic features of Rett syndrome.
