If you remember the following facts,
you'll never go wrong:
==> 1 cubic foot = 1,728 cubic inches
==> 231 cubic inches = 1 gallon
In this context, HCF should mean hundred cubic feet, which is approximately 748 US gallons (see related link). To calculate it, use 231 cubic inches to a US gallon, and a cubic foot is (12 in)³ = 1728 cubic inches.
37,500 cubic feet = 64,800,000 cubic inches = 280,519.48gallons (rounded)
1 gallon = 231 cubic inches1 cubic foot = 1,728 cubic inches = 7.48052 gallons (rounded)2,722.5 cubic feet = 4,704,480 cubic inches = 20,365.7 gallons (rounded)whether there's anything in those cubic feet or not. Even if they're empty.
Assuming the 6 inch diameter is the inside diameter (otherwise you have to know the thickness of the pipe walls).Volume = pi * r2 *lengthVolume = 3.14159 * 9 * (225*12) cubic inchesVolume = 76 340.637 cubic inchesConvert this to gallons = 330.478948 US gallonsAnswer 330.5 Gallons (answer to one decimal place)
For me I would convert to cubic feet and then to gallons. 30" : 2.5 ft 18" : 1.5 ft 6". : 0.5 ft Multiply all to get 1.875 cubic feet volume water is 7.48 gallons per cubic foot volume so 7.48 x 1.875 is 14.025 gallons
Volume = (length) x (width) x (depth of liquid)-- Volume, cubic inches = (Length, inches) x (width, inches) x (depth, inches)Gallons = (Volume, cubic inches)/231-- Volume, cubic feet = (Length, feet) x (width, feet) x (depth, feet)Gallons = (Volume, cubic feet) x (7.4805)
If you know gallons, multiply gallons by 0.133681 to get cubic feet.If you know cubic feet, multiply cubic feet by 7.48052 to get gallons.
1 cubic foot = 1,728 cubic inches 231 cubic inches = 1 gallon = (1,728 / 231) = 0.13368 cubic foot ========================== -- Take the number of cubic feet -- Multiply by 0.13368(or divide by 7.4805, whichever is easier) -- The answer is the number of gallons.
21 cubic feet = 36,288 cubic inches = 1571/11 gallons
1,500 cubic feet of water is 11,220.78 gallons.
its 7.48 gallons of water per cubic foot, so calculate your cubic feet then times it by 7.48, but dont forget that that is in cubic FEET, not inches, plugging in the numbers given will give you cubic inches, the best thing to do is to convert the 6" into feet, then do your calculations
There are 231 cubic inches in 1 gallon. Therefore, to find the number of cubic inches in 20 gallons, you would multiply 231 by 20. This gives you a total of 4,620 cubic inches in 20 gallons.
Multiply 36*12*16 = 6,912 cubic inches 12*12*12 = 1729 cubic inches per cubic feet 6912 cubic inches/1729 cubic inches per cubic feet - 4 cubic feet 4 cubic feet * 7.48051948 gallons per cubic foot = 29.90 gallons 7.48051948 Gallons per cubic foot

1 gallon = 231 cubic inches1,728 cubic inches = 1 cubic foot5 gallons = 1,155 cubic inches = 0.6684 cubic feet. (rounded)
(237 cubic feet) x (1,728 cubic inches per cubic foot) / (231 cubic inches per gallon) = 1772.9 gallons
