Measure the room size in both directions and multiply your measurements by each other. The product is the square feet

Ex 1: A room measures 14' - 4" x 13' - 6". 14.33 x 13.5 = 193.455 square feet

Ex 2: A room measures 10' x 10'. 10 x 10 = 100 square feet

To find the square footage of a room, measure the length and width of the room in feet. Then, multiply the length by the width to calculate the area in square feet. For example, a room that is 10 feet long and 12 feet wide would have an area of 120 square feet (10 ft x 12 ft = 120 sq ft).

Easy. Just multiply the length by the width. So, a room that is 10 feet long by 15 feet wide comprises 150 square feet (10 x 15 = 150).
