1. Find the mass of the book by weighing it

2. Measure the dimensions of the book (length, width and thickness), and hence find the volume by multiplying these three (They must measured in the same unit, e.g. metres, inches or whatever you like)

Now, use the formula p=m/V (density=mass/volume)

For example, I have a book of mass 1.2kg, length 20cm, width 15cm and thickness 3cm.

Therefore, m=1.2 and V=20*15*3=900 cubic cm.

Density, p=m/V=1.2/900=1/750kg/cm^3

NOTE THAT: If you are in the USA, you should transpose all measurements into ounces or pounds and inches or feet unless instructed, as teachers will want imperial units. In most other countries where SI(metric) units are used, density is measured in kg/cubic metre and hence your measurements will be in kg and metres.

To find the density of a book, you would need to know its mass and volume, which can be determined by weighing the book and measuring its dimensions. Once you have these values, you can calculate density by dividing the mass of the book by its volume. The density of a book is typically measured in grams per cubic centimeter (g/cm^3).
