This question is similar to "How does linear motion function? With the exception of the planetary system, first it must be driven by power. When driven and no load applied to it, then its just an object in motion. In other words a motion without load or work whether it be rotation or linear motion does not serve a function.

The rotating function works by incrementally rotating an object around a central axis. This can be achieved through mathematical calculations that determine the position and angle of rotation for each increment. The object is then redrawn in each new position to create the illusion of continuous rotation.

What is the function of the rotating plate of a microscope?

The rotating plate, also known as a stage, holds the specimen and can be rotated to view different areas. This allows for precise positioning and examination of the specimen under the microscope.

Where does the earth find the power to rotate?

It doesn't work like that. You don't need power to keep an object rotating. Any object that is rotating will continue rotating, unless it is slowed down, by friction for example.
