∙ 14y agoThe branch circuit circuit breaker or fuse protects the wire and devices that make up the circuit. If you have a 15 A breaker the wire size must be at least 14 AWG. You could have a larger wire size like 12 AWG, but not a smaller size like 18 AWG. Note as the number decrease the wire size is larger in cross sectional area. All the receptacles and switches should be rated equal to or greater than the branch protection device.

∙ 14y agoThe rating of the branch-circuit protective device should not be affected if the conductors used are of a larger size than required by code. The protective device is chosen based on the ampacity of the smallest conductor in the circuit, not the largest. However, using larger conductors than necessary can increase the cost and may not provide any additional benefit in terms of safety.

∙ 14y agoThere is no problem using over sized wires on a breaker. It is only when the wires are undersized that the trouble begins. Oversize wire on a breaker is very common practice when overcoming voltage drop on a circuit.
The box used for connecting conductors in a wiring installation is called an electrical junction box. It serves as a protective enclosure to house electrical connections, providing safety and organization for the wiring system.

Materials that transfer thermal energy by direct contact better than other materials are called conductors. Conductors have high thermal conductivity, allowing heat to flow through them easily. Metals like copper and aluminum are good examples of conductors.
Generically they are called conductors.
such substances are conductors of electricity.

The balancing effect on account of irregular spacing of conductors can be avoided by changing the position of the conductors at regular distances. this is called transposition of conductors. In case of 3- phase transmission lines, the inductance and capacitance of each phase will be different if the three conductors are spaced differently (each phase to the other two phases, and each phase to ground). the apparent resistance of the conductors is also affected on account of transfer of power between the phases which occur due to mutual coupling. so all the three parameters of the transmission lines are affected by irregular spacing of the conductors.
Electric conductors.
Good conductors are called materials that allow electric current to flow through them easily due to the mobility of their electrons. Some examples of good conductors include metals like copper, silver, and gold.

Materials in which electrons are loosely bound are called conductors. Conductors have a high conductivity due to their ability to easily allow for the flow of electrons. Metals like copper and aluminum are examples of good conductors.
