What my people tell me is that, on a plastic lid it last about 1 hr. and 42 minutes.
That depends on the volume of the ice cube, the surface area (determined by the shape), how much heat you have available and in what form.

We need to know the volume of the cube, the volume of the water, the temperature of each, whether it's still water or moving water, how fast it's moving relative to the cube, etc. etc.

∙ 14y agoWell, it depends how you do melt it. It you stick it on a pan over an oven, itll melt in about 10-15 seconds. If its just on a regular table, maybe 3-5 minutes. The size is also important in the question.
Wiki User
∙ 14y agoit depends on the amount of heat you are giving to it. for example if you put it in a beaker over a gas stove it will hardly take any time to melt
but if you put it in a beaker and let it melt bi its own it will take comparatively more time.
The time it takes for an ice cube to melt can vary based on factors like temperature and cube size, but typically it can take 10-20 minutes in room temperature conditions.

∙ 12y agoIt is to see how big your ice cube is. Sometimes 5 min is enough, but this depends esentially on the temperature of the environment.

it would probably take about five minutes for the ice cube to actually melt
The time it takes for an ice cube to melt on wood can vary depending on factors such as the temperature of the wood and the size of the ice cube. In general, it could take anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour for a small ice cube to melt on wood.
The time it takes for an ice cube to melt can vary depending on factors such as temperature and size of the ice cube. Generally, it can take anywhere from a few minutes to around 10-20 minutes for an ice cube to melt at room temperature.
The time it takes for an ice cube to melt outside will depend on various factors such as the temperature, humidity, and sunlight. In general, an ice cube may take anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour to melt completely in outdoor conditions.
The time it takes for an ice cube to melt can vary depending on factors like temperature, size of the ice cube, and environment. To conduct a proper experiment, you could set up a controlled environment, record the starting time, and monitor the ice cube until it completely melts to determine the elapsed time. This experiment may take around 10-30 minutes for a typical ice cube to melt at room temperature.
that depends on the size of the ice cube, how much salt, and the ambient temperature.

The time it takes for an ice cube to melt can vary depending on factors such as the temperature of its surroundings, the size of the ice cube, and the material it is made from. On average, a small ice cube in a room temperature environment may take around 5-10 minutes to melt completely.

depends on the ambient temperature
It takes exactly 14.0 seconds to melt a full ice cube under hot water.
That really depends on the temperature of the room it's in.
depends, weather it is morning in afternoon
The time it takes for an ice cube to melt in water depends on factors such as the temperature of the water, the size of the ice cube, and the number of ice cubes. On average, a small ice cube will melt in a few minutes in room temperature water.
The depends on the mass of ice, stirring and other factors.
