American Ray Ettinger must have had a chill so he started knitting a scarf, but it must not have been no ordinary chill as when he was done he had knitted the world's longest scarf ever knitted by a single person at 1,073 meters.\

Unfortunately Ray Ettinger doesn't come anywhere near the world's longest scarf ever knitted.

A team of 2,00 knitters knitted a scarf to aid Ty Hafan, a children's hospice in Wales and when they were done the world's longest scarf measured 33.74 miles.

The scarf has since been cut up into squares and sold to benefit 'Feed The Children'.

The Guinness World Record for the longest knitted scarf measures 1,377.73 meters (4,520 ft 2 in) and was created by Helge Johansen (Norway) in Oslo, Norway on 12 November 2013.
