the number 1780kg/m^3 was taken from a Google search, we know that one tonne is the same as 1000kg. because you asked how much one metre cubed weighs its a very simple conversion as the density is given in kg per metre cubed.

It will depend on type of sand ie fine,medium,coarse one cu mt per ton of sand will range between 1.4 ton to 2 ton
