Conversion from feet to metres:

1 foot = 0.3048m

6' = 1.8288m

A nanometre nm is a billionth of a metre (0.000000001m) So there are a billion nanometres in a metre.

1.8288 x 1 000000000 = 1 828 800 000nm

It doesn't really make sense to use nanometres at this scale as it implies a very high level of precision that is not implied by the use of the unit feet (Unless the feet were expressed as 6.000 000 000 feet.) It would be more usual to talk of 1.828m or 1828mm.

there are 10000000 nanometres in one centimetre. There are 30.48 centimetres in one foot. Therefore, one foot is equal to 30.48 x 10000000 = 304800000 nanometres.

1 meter = 3.28084 ft (rounded)

1 nanometer = 3.28084 x 10-9 ft = 0.00000000328 ft(rounded)
