The Liter is measurement of volume, and the Kilogram is a measurement of weight. Therefore, one would have to know the specific gravity or density of the substance in question in order to make this conversion.

∙ 16y agoThe conversion from kilograms to liters depends on the density of the substance. For water, which has a density of 1 kg/L, 2 kilograms would be equal to 2 liters. However, for other substances, the conversion would be different.

∙ 16y agoA liter is a measure of volume; a kilogram is a measure of mass (weight). They don't relate directly to each other. A litre of water weighs 1 kilogram because it has a density of 1 gram per cc. Other materials have different densities and once know the weight can be calculated.

∙ 11y agoOnly of you think of pure water you can say:
2 liters of pure water weighs 2 kilograms.
Forget syrup or oil.
For that calculations you need the specific weight (density) of the material.
Wiki User
∙ 15y agoIt depends what it is. If it's water then 1 liter weighs 1 kilogram.
Wiki User
∙ 16y agodepends on the substance, because the mass is related to volume by its density. Density = mass/volume
Wiki User
∙ 14y agoSuch that one kilometre is equal to 1000 metres, so one kilolitre is equal to 1000 litres. Therefore, 2 kilolitres is equal to 2 x 1000 = 2000 litres.

The conversion of liters to kilograms depends on the substance being measured, as the density of different materials varies. For water, which has a density of 1 kg/L, 90 liters would be equal to 90 kilograms.
Kilograms can't be converted to liters. Kilograms measure mass, while liters measure volume.
Meters measure length, liters measure capacity, and kilograms measure weight.
Liters can't be converted to kilograms. Liters measure volume, while kilograms measure mass.

depends on the density of the liquid in question. 25 liters of water will be heavier than 25 liters of gasoline.

This cannot be sensibly answered. A liter is a measure of volume, kilograms is a measure of weight or mass.
2 litres = 2000 cubic centimetres. This will have a mass of between 1.9168 and 2 kilograms, depending on the temperature.

If you think only of the liquid pure water then 50 litres of pure water weighs 50 kilograms.
