You probably mean kilometer....?

1km = 1000m

1m = 1000mm

1000 x 1000 = 1000 000

Or in other words the prefix kilo means thousand and prefix milli means one thousandth so one thousand thousandths is one million.

There is one million millimeters in a kilometer.
