To convert square meters to square millimeters, you need to remember that there are 1,000 millimeters in a meter. Since we are dealing with square units, you need to square this conversion factor. Therefore, there are 1,000 x 1,000 = 1,000,000 square millimeters in 1 square meter.

one meter is equal with 1000 milimeters and 4 meters make a square meter so 4000 milimeters make one square meters

Sorry but both question and that answer are wrong because they muddle linear with areal measures. Further, 4m does not make a square metre, and though 4m does indeed = 4000mm, 1 square metre = 1 000 000 (million) square millimetres.

Sorry but i need to write out my method.

10mm in 1 centimeter

1000mm in 1 meter

so it is 1000mm square, so it is 1000mm X 1000mm which means it is 1,000,000 (million) mm squared.

There are 1,000,000 square millimeters in 1 square meter. This is because there are 1,000 millimeters in a meter, and when calculating area, you must multiply the dimensions together.
