∙ 14y agoThe word "large" is rather ambiguous.
Here's how I personally would rank them:
1 fluid ounce: small
1 pint: large
1 quart: more larger
1 gallon: breathtakingly large

∙ 14y agoA large glass of water is typically around 8-12 fluid ounces, which is less than a pint (16 fluid ounces), a quart (32 fluid ounces), or a gallon (128 fluid ounces).
One gallon is 128 fl oz; therefore, it is larger.
No. A fluid ounce is a measure of volume, related to liquids and fluids. An ounce is a unit of weight or mass. A glass of water can have both - the glass and water together have a particular weight or mass but the water inside the glass has volume and is measured in fluid ounces.
In the US a fluid ounce is 1/16 of a pint or 1/128 of a gallon. 1 US gallon is 3.8 liters or 3800 ml. So one ounce is 3800/128 = 29.7 ml In the UK a fluid ounce is 1/20 of a pint or 1/160 of a gallon, but the gallon is bigger at 4546 ml, so the ounce = 4546/160 = 28.4 ml
One fluid ounce equates to 0.0078125 gallon.
There are 64 ounces in half of a gallon. This can be determined because 1 cup equals 8 fluid ounces and 16 cups is equivalent to 1 gallon.
Approximately 7.6 16-fluid-ounce servings per gallon.
