Call the Electric Company to observe this. They probably will want to replace the meter. On the other hand I can't think of an easier way to lower your electric bill. But dangerous, I wouldn't think so.

Yes, it can be dangerous if the meter runs backwards when all breakers are shut off. This could indicate a fault in the electrical system, such as improper wiring or a ground fault. It is best to have a qualified electrician investigate the issue to ensure the safety of your electrical system.

Can a 100 amp main have 2 50 amp breakers?

What should you do if your electricity is out?

First check with other people in nearby homes to find out if there is a general power outage. If there is, call the power company to ask about it. If everyone else has power, SAFELY look in your main service panel, where the meter is, to check if any of the breakers or fuses are tripped or have blown. If so, turn breakers back on or replace fuses. If they still trip CALL AN ELECTRICIAN.

How do you wire a 100 amp breaker box and a 100 amp safety switch right from the power meter?

To wire a 100 amp breaker box and safety switch from the power meter, you will need to connect the hot wire from the meter to the main breaker in the breaker box. From there, you will connect the individual circuits to the breakers. The safety switch should be connected after the breaker box to provide an additional level of protection. It's crucial to follow all local building codes and regulations when performing electrical work.
