∙ 15y agoFirst, if you live in the US, you should convert it to Fahrenheit so people know what you're talking about. I've done that for you, and 38oC is approximately 100oF. That's not alarmingly high. In fact, it's nearly within the range of normal body temperature. I wouldn't be too concerned about it. If it persists for more than a couple of hours, you could give your child some acetaminophin (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Motrin). But you should really talk to your baby's pediatrician before giving him any medication. Most health insurance companies have a toll-free number you can call for medical advice (though 9 times out of 10, they just tell you to call a doctor). If you live in the US, there's a toll-free number that I don't think is associated with any one particular insurance company. It's 888-884-2321. It's been a while since I used it, so I'm not sure it's still working.

∙ 14y agoA temperature of 39 degrees Celsius in a baby could indicate a fever which may be a sign of an infection. It is important to monitor your baby closely, offer fluids, dress them lightly, and consider giving fever-reducing medication as directed by a healthcare provider. If the fever persists or other symptoms develop, seek medical attention promptly.

∙ 12y agoSince the formula for finding the Fahrenheit from celsius is 9/5C + 32 = F~
351/5 + 32 = 102 1/5 degrees Fahrenheit. So as far as just hanging around or walking is concerned you would typically be safe, however any form of strenuous activity may be dangerous and lead to heat stroke.

∙ 14y agoThat depends on the context. If you are talking about human body temperature then yes, it could be dangerous in terms of a fever because 39.5 ºC = 103.1 ºF.
A high temperature for an eight month old would be considered to be around 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius) or higher. It is important to consult with a healthcare provider if your baby has a fever to determine the appropriate course of action.
A high underarm temperature for a 5-month-old is generally considered to be above 99.6 degrees Fahrenheit (37.6 degrees Celsius). It is important to monitor the temperature closely and consult a healthcare professional if it remains high or if your baby shows other symptoms of illness.
A temperature of 38 degrees Celsius during pregnancy could suggest a fever, which should be monitored closely. It is recommended to consult a healthcare provider to determine the cause and appropriate treatment. Fever during pregnancy can sometimes pose risks for both the mother and baby, so prompt medical evaluation is important.
A safe and comfortable temperature for a baby's room is typically between 68-72°F (20-22°C). It's important to ensure the room is not too hot or too cold to prevent overheating or chilling the baby. Using a room thermometer can help you monitor and maintain a suitable temperature for your baby.
The scalding point of hot water is 140 degrees Fahrenheit. At this temperature the skin of a newborn baby would experience a mild burn with just momentary exposure. Scalding is somewhat dependant on exposure time and skin thickness, but in most cases, skin damage would eventually occur with sufficient exposure to water at 140 degrees F.
37.7 degrees Celsius
Most doctors - and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) - agree that a normal body temperature for a healthy baby is between 97 and 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit (36 to 38 degrees Celsius). If your baby's rectal temperature is above this range, he/she has a fever. If your baby is less than 3 months old and has a temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius) or higher, call the doctor immediately. For a baby between 3 and 6 months old, call if his temperature reaches 101 degrees Fahrenheit (38.3 degrees Celsius) or higher. If your baby is 6 months or older, call if his fever reaches 103 degrees Fahrenheit (39.4 degrees Celsius) or higher.
All humans have an internal average temperature of 98.6 degrees F.
Wood typically burns at a temperature range of 400 to 600 degrees Celsius (750 to 1110 degrees Fahrenheit). The exact temperature will depend on the type of wood and its moisture content.
You should take baby to a doctor 40C is dangerous; a doctor may prescribe antibiotic.
If your baby's temperature drops below 97.7°F (36.5°C), they're considered to have hypothermia, or low body temperature. A low body temperature in babies can be dangerous, and, though rare, may lead to death
A baby's normal body temperature is around 36.5 to 37.5 degrees Celsius (97.7 to 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit). It's important to monitor the temperature regularly and consult a healthcare provider if it falls outside of this range.
A normal body temperature for anyone is 98.6 degrees f
100 degrees F is 37.8 C. Anything 100 and higher is considered a fever in infants and children.
That is a considerable fever - for a human. In itself not a dangerous temperature, but a doctor will want to know why you have such a high temperature. Is it a relatively innocent influenza or viral sore throat, or could you have a rarer but more serious diseases such as pneumonia, pyelonephritis, or even meningitis? If such a temperature lasts more than a day or two, or if you feel very ill with it, see a doctor.
The gender of a baby alligator is determined by the temperature at which the eggs are incubated. Cooler temperatures during incubation usually result in female alligators, while warmer temperatures typically produce males. This process is known as temperature-dependent sex determination.
