Nicolaus Copernicus proposed a heliocentric model of the solar system, which deviated from the geocentric model in the Ptolemaic system. In Copernicus' model, the Sun, not Earth, was at the center of the universe, with the planets, including Earth, revolving around it.
All of the planets plus the sun revolve around the Earth
Copernicus did not discover any planets himself. He proposed the heliocentric model of the solar system in the 16th century, which suggested that the Earth and other planets orbit the Sun. At that time, only the five planets visible to the naked eye were known: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn.
Ptolemy proposed a geocentric model, with Earth at the center and planets orbiting it. Copernicus suggested a heliocentric model, with the Sun at the center of the solar system. Galileo's telescopic observations supported the heliocentric model and provided evidence for Copernicus' theory.
Copernicus's concept of the solar system was influenced by the ancient Greek astronomer Aristarchus of Samos, who proposed a heliocentric model in which the Earth and other planets revolved around the Sun. Copernicus built upon this idea and formulated his own heliocentric model in the 16th century.
Copernicus mistakenly thought that our earth was the center of our universe, with the sun and other planets orbiting earth.

The heliocentric model was devised by Copernicus.
Nicolae Copernicus did not abandon the idea that planets went around their center point in perfect circles.
Ptolemy thought the earth was the center of the solar system (Otherwise known as the Geocentric theory) and Copernicus's idea was that the sun was at the center of the solar system (Heliocentric theroy).
