If the object has a strange form, you may need to take a beaker and fill it with water to a certain level and record it. Then put the object in the beaker so that it is fully submerged. Then find the new level of the water and record it. Now you can take the difference of the two measurements, and you have volume.

If it is a liquid or something that has a normal shape that you can measure, by all means do it the simple way.

To find volume, you can usually measure the dimensions of the object and then use the appropriate formula based on its shape (e.g. length x width x height for a rectangular object). You can also use water displacement method for irregular objects by measuring the change in water level when the object is submerged.

What is the first step to find the density of an object?

The first step to find the density of an object is to measure its mass using a scale.

How do you find the density in milk?

To find the density of milk, first measure the mass of a given volume of milk using a scale. Then, divide the mass by the volume to calculate the density (density = mass/volume). Keep in mind that milk's density can vary depending on factors like its fat content.

How do you find out the density of a coin?

To find out the density of a coin, you would first measure its mass using a scale, and then measure its volume using displacement method or by calculating the volume based on its dimensions. The density of the coin can be calculated by dividing the mass by the volume.

How do you find volume if density is known?

Volume = Mass/Density

How can you find density of mass of 67.5?

Find its volume. Divide the mass by the volume to get the density.

How do you find volume when the density and mass are known?

Density = Mass / Volume Rearranging this gives: Volume = Mass / Density Mass = Density × Volume

How do you find the density with just the volume?

To find density with just the volume, you need to know the mass of the object as well. Density is calculated by dividing the mass of an object by its volume. The formula for density is: Density = Mass / Volume.

How do you find density with mass and volume?

mass = density ( )/cm3 multiplied by volume( )cm3

How do you find density of object that floats?

To find the density of an object that floats, you can use the formula density = mass/volume. First, measure the mass of the object using a scale. Then, submerge the object in water and measure the volume of water displaced, which is equal to the volume of the object. Finally, divide the mass of the object by its volume to calculate the density.

How would you use the density formula to find the volume or mass of a sample?

You have to know two out of three ... mass, volume, density ... then you can find the missing one. If density is missing . . . Density = (mass)/(volume) If mass is missing . . . Mass = (density) x (volume) If volume is missing . . . Volume = (mass)/(density)
