∙ 12y agoThe gas constant (R) makes both sides of the ideal gas equation (PV=nRT) equal. It is therefore called the proportionality constant in the ideal gas equation. The value of R is 8.314 J/mol˚K. If you divide the ideal gas constant by Avogadro's number you get R/NA=(8.314 J mol-1 K-1)/(6.022x1023 #of atoms mol-1)=1.38x10-23 J/(atoms x K) since the mol-1 terms cancel out. This value is the Boltzman constant (kb) usually expressed in units of J/K (energy/temperature) and it gives the average energy of a single atom or molecule at an absolute temperature T. Just multiply kb by T and you get energy in Joules.

∙ 12y agoThe constant equal to the ratio of the gas constant to the Avogadro constant is the molar gas constant, also known as the ideal gas constant, denoted by R. It has a value of 8.314 J/(mol·K).

Avogadro's constant is determined experimentally by measuring the charge-to-mass ratio of an electron. This value, along with other physical constants, is used to calculate Avogadro's constant. The most recent accepted value is approximately 6.022 x 10^23 mol^-1.
The slope of the force versus acceleration plot is equal to the object's mass because acceleration is directly proportional to force when mass is constant (F = ma). Therefore, the slope represents the ratio of force applied to the resulting acceleration, which is mass in this case.
It is the ratio of the concentrations of products to the concentrations of reactants.
It is the ratio of the concentrations of products to the concentrations of reactants.
No, the angle of incidence and angle of refraction are not directly proportional. They are related through Snell's Law, which states that the ratio of the sine of the angle of incidence to the sine of the angle of refraction is equal to the ratio of the velocities of light in the two mediums.
Boltzmanns constant
The ratio of distance to time remains constant for a body moving at a uniform speed because the speed is consistent over time, meaning the body covers equal distances in equal intervals of time. This leads to a constant ratio, which is the definition of constant speed (distance traveled per unit of time).
For an ideal gas, the ratio of PV to RT is a constant for any gas at constant temperature, pressure, and volume. This is known as Avogadro's Law, and it holds true for any gas that behaves ideally under the given conditions.

The ratio of the angle of incidence to the angle of refraction is equal to a constant because it is defined by Snell's Law, which states that n1(sinθ1) = n2(sinθ2), where n1 and n2 are the refractive indices of the two mediums, and θ1 and θ2 are the angles of incidence and refraction, respectively. This constant ratio is a fundamental property of light as it travels from one medium to another and ensures conservation of energy and momentum.
The circumference of a circle divided by its diameter is a constant referred to as Pi, and is roughly equal to 3.14156.
Direct proportionality. Their graph would be a straight line through the origin, with the slope equal to the ratio.
For any size circle, the ratio of the circumference to the diameter is constant. This constant is known as pi, an irrational number which is approximately equal to 3.1416.Since the Circumference is pi times Diameter. (C=πD)Therefore the ratio of Circumference to Diameter is π:1.
No it is not equal to a ratio.
At equilibrium, the rate of the forward reaction is equal to the rate of the reverse reaction. The concentrations of reactants and products remain constant over time. The equilibrium constant, which is the ratio of product concentrations to reactant concentrations, is constant at a given temperature.
π is [defined as] the ratio of the circumference of any circle to its diameter. This ratio is constant regardless of the size of the circle. Therefore the circumference has to equal π times the diameter.why is 2 plus 2 four? It's just a fact.
No. The ratio of consecutive values of y for equal x-intervals will be approx constant.
