a Cartesian Plate is the graph system you use in elementary school. it has 4 quadrants I, II, III, IV. going counter clockwise starting at the top right corner. when you do graphing in school like bar graphs, your using quadrant I. the origin is the center point, (0,0). and you have to label the x and y axis. in highschool its used mostly for system of equations and triangles etc.
hope this helps
The Pacific Plate. In the middle of the plate the volcano is rising from the plate movement.
Yes the Pacific Plate, North American Plate, Cocos Plate, Nazca Plate, South American Plate, African Plate, Eurasian Plate, Indian Plate, Australian Plate, and Antarctic Plate are the major tectonic plates.
California is located on the plate boundaries for the North American Plate and the Pacific Plate.
You would use "on the plate" when referring to placing something on top of a plate. For example, "The steak is on the plate." If referring to containing something inside a plate, you could use "in the plate," but it's less common.

The cartesian coordinates are plotted on the cartesian plane
Oh, dude, it was actually Alfred Wegener who came up with the idea of continental drift and the theory of plate tectonics, not Cartesian plates. But hey, close enough, right? Like, who even needs to remember all those old dead scientist names anyway?
Cartesian refers to the philosopher and mathematician Ren
