And in the lower left of the symbol is atomic number, for C it is 6: 6C
in the upper left of the symbol is the mass number, for C it is 12 : 12C
(or with another isotope, 13)
Then the full nomination: 612C (write 6, and 12 one column aligned)

∙ 12y agoA chemical formula is a combination of element symbols that shows the ratio of elements in a compound. The subscripts in the formula indicate the number of atoms of each element present in the compound.

∙ 11y agoIn the formula for a compound, you will see atomic symbols representing individual elements, and if needed, you will see subscripts that represent the number of those atoms required for that bonding scenario. Sodium chloride, for example is NaCl. You see the symbol for sodium followed by the symbol for chlorine. No subscripts are needed because sodium and chlorine combine in a 1-1 ratio. However, in aluminum oxide, the formula is Al2O3. Two aluminums are required for every three oxygens. The subscripts reflect that bonding ratio.

A chemical formula is a combination of symbols that shows the ratio of elements in a compound. Each element is represented by its chemical symbol, and the subscripts indicate the relative number of atoms of each element in the compound.
A combination of chemical symbols that show what elements make up a compound and the number of atoms of each element in the smallest unit of the compound is a chemical formula.
A compound is a substance formed by the chemical combination of two or more elements in definite proportions.
Chemical symbols for compounds are written by combining the chemical symbols of the elements in the compound, along with subscripts to indicate the number of atoms of each element present. For example, water (H2O) is composed of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. The chemical symbols are always listed with the element that appears first in the compound listed first.
No, the symbol of an element represents a single atom of that element, while the formula of a compound includes multiple atoms of different elements. The formula of an element is typically written as a combination of symbols representing the atoms that make up that element.

The term is formula : the combination of symbols for elements and ions that make up a compound.
The chemical formula of a compound provides information about the elements present in the compound and the ratio in which they are combined. The subscripts in the chemical formula indicate the relative number of atoms of each element in a compound.

a chemical formula
A chemical formula is a combination of chemical symbols and numbers that represent the elements and ratio of atoms present in a substance. It provides information about the type and number of atoms in each element that make up the compound.
The formula of a compound is written using the symbols of the elements present in the compound and subscript numbers to represent the ratio of each element in the compound. The subscript numbers indicate how many atoms of each element are present in a molecule of the compound.
