It depends if it is a miniature Maltese or a normal Maltese.
You can't tell the difference when they are puppies - but a look at their mother / father should give you a clue.
A fully grown miniature could grow to around 30 cms long - whilst a normal Maltese will be twice this.
Although the Maltese has been added to the NSW 'dangerous dogs' list, if they are treated firmly from young, then they can me very loving little dogs quite safe around children. The problem (I suspect) is that they are 'lap dogs' and thus are frequently spoiled by their owners giving them the idea that they are the leader of the pack (i.e. higher in the pecking order than the owners!!!).
Hope this helps.

A Maltese Poodle, also known as a Maltipoo, typically grows to be between 8-14 inches tall and weighs between 5-20 pounds, depending on the size of its parents. They are considered small-sized dogs, making them suitable for apartment living or households with limited space.
Panthera Tigris is the scientific name of a general tiger, I don't know the scientific name of a Maltese Tiger. It is said that the Maltese Tiger is not a type of tiger but just a coloration morph. Look on Wikipedia for more about the Maltese.
The term "maltipoo" typically refers to a mixed breed dog that is a cross between a Maltese and a Poodle. The word "liter" usually refers to a metric unit of volume. It is not accurate or meaningful to quantify the number of maltipoos in a liter, as they are unrelated concepts.

Like all animals, Maltese dogs can potentially get lice. It is important to regularly check your dog's fur for any signs of lice or other parasites and consult with a veterinarian for proper treatment if needed. Regular grooming and cleaning can help prevent lice infestations in Maltese dogs.
