It is owned by S Kidman & Co which actually owns several other ranches larger than the King Ranch -- Innamincka at 3.3 million acres, Quinyambie at 3 million, Helen Springs at 2.9 million, Macumba at 2.7 million, Ruby Plains at 2.3 million, Durham Downs at 2.2 million, Naryilco at 1.9 million, Nappa Merrie at 1.8 million, Durrie at 1.6, Morney Plains at 1.5, and Glengyle at 1.4.

The 2nd largest ranch is also in Australia. Alexandria Station is 4 million acres and is owned by the North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCO).
