quantitative refers to "quantity" and can be quantified or measured. while qualitative referes to "quality" and cannot be quanitifed.

When u say X product "passes" a test that is qualitative data, while when u say the amount of X present is "10mg/ml" that is quantitative data.

Quantitative data is numerical and measurable, while qualitative data is descriptive and non-numerical. Quantitative data can be analyzed using statistical methods to draw conclusions, while qualitative data is typically analyzed through themes, patterns, and interpretations.

Qualitative research is done as an exploratory measure. When someone wants to know more about a problem, such as who is effected or what needs to be learned/measured, they do qualitative research.Quantitative research is done once the problem and the questions have been better established. Quantitative research relies heavily on numbers and other measurable data in order to uncover existing patterns.

Qualitative data has to do with numbers and quantitative has to do with words.

Remember that by thinking numbers cant be an opinion, there for the data is a higher quality (qualitative) 8)

The former deals with quantity, and the latter deals with quality.

For example, suppose you have a dozen poor-quality apples and your brother has two high-quality apples. A quantitative view would say that you were better off than he, and a qualitative view would say that he was better off than you.

Quantitative is to do with numbers and counting, e.g. 5%, 10%, 15%.

Qualitative is to do with descriptive qualities, e.g. Blue Eyes, Hazel Eyes, bigger, smaller, first, last, etc..

Quantitative data have numerical values, qualitative data do not. The latter may be colours (of hair or eyes), pets (species), favourite films, etc.
