The log flume is just a little engineered "river" to float the logs down an incline in. The flumes were mostly built of wood, and they extended for miles. They are a combination of fiberglass and metal and/or wood. The fiberglass is used to make the outer shell, and the wood is used for making the internal framework and seating section. The only exception is the double seated log flume cars. they are mostly fiberglass with a metal frame.
