We have very loud competitions in "dB Drag Racing", but this is usually not recorded. There you can learn how loud that is. Measuring of sound pressure levels have to do with distance. The closer you are, the louder it is. Scroll down to related links and look at "dB Drag Racing".

There is no end in chaos sound level. I would never like to do personal tests to get an answer to this question. There must be said: Highest sound level till your ears are aching. There must be said: Highest sound level till tinitus is coming. There must be said: Highest sound level till you are going mad. Highest sound level till ear drums are destroyed and blood comes out of your ears. Highest sound level till ear drums is destroyed and blood comes out of your ears. Highest sound level till the whole air pressure is modulated (194 dB SPL). In a center of an A bomb explosion there is even higher pressure.

On a scale of 1 to 200 the loudest sound sound possible is 194dB. By comparison, a whisper in a library is 30dB. Sustained exposure at 90dB to 95dB will result in hearing loss. Pain begins at 125dB and Rock Music peaks at 150dB

What does 10 decibels sound like?

An increase of 10 decibels represents a doubling of sound intensity. So, 10 decibels louder would sound noticeably louder, such as a car passing nearby compared to a quiet conversation.

How are volume and decibels related?

Volume is a subjective measure of how loud a sound is perceived by an individual, while decibels (dB) are a unit used to objectively measure sound intensity. Decibels are a logarithmic scale that quantifies the intensity of sound waves, with an increase in decibels corresponding to an exponential increase in sound intensity. Therefore, as the volume of a sound increases, so does the number of decibels measured.
