Unless I'm advised otherwise, I believe the tallest indoor plant in the world is one of several Canary Island Date Palms (Phoenix canariensis) in the atrium of the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas. The dome of the hotel is 90' tall, and as of 2006, the tallest of the palms was almost touching the top of the dome.
