Just firmly connect the wires under the screws and that will couple them.

Each outlet has two hot and two neutral screws; just connect the wires appropriately and make certain that the outlet is properly grounded.

When running outlets in series, it is common practice to use the outlet as a coupler by connecting the incoming and outgoing wires directly to the outlet. This allows for a continuous flow of power between outlets in the series. Pigtail connections are used when branching off to another circuit or device without affecting the rest of the outlets in the series.

What is the difference between flex outlet and spur outlet?

A flex outlet is a flexible metal conduit used for running wires in a building, while a spur outlet is an additional power outlet tapped off an existing circuit. Flex outlets provide protection for wiring in areas where it may be exposed to damage, while spur outlets are used to add extra power points in a room without running a new cable back to the main distribution board.

Why do wall outlets arc and burn?

Wall outlets can arc and burn due to a variety of reasons, such as overloading, loose connections, or deterioration of the outlet itself. Arcing can occur when electricity jumps through a gap in the outlet, leading to overheating and potential fire hazards. Regular inspection and maintenance of outlets can help prevent arcing and burning.

Do hand dryers in a bathroom need a GFI breaker?

In general, hand dryers in a bathroom do not require a GFCI breaker specifically for the hand dryer itself. However, GFCI protection is required for outlets in bathrooms to ensure safety from electrical hazards, so the outlet where the hand dryer is plugged in should be GFCI protected according to electrical codes.

Why is overloading an outlet dangerous?

Overloading an outlet can cause the circuit to overheat, increasing the risk of electrical fires. It can also damage the outlet itself, as well as any connected appliances or devices. It is important to evenly distribute the load among multiple outlets to avoid overloading.
